Test Track

A Test Track at an Exhibition usually performs several important functions:
- To provide entertainment
- To test potential purchases
- To provide a social area.
The East Midlands 0 Gauge Group are presenting their 35ft by 15ft - 7mm test track.
It will accommodate most wheel standards (with the Exception of Scale 7 and some early extremely coarse examples).
12 volt or 24volt DC transmitted via 2 rail, centre 3rd-rail or stud contact.
Clearances between the running lines permits running of 16mm/ft models running on 32mm track gauge.
Visitors are welcome to test run any potential locomotives they may wish to buy.
Scale 7 will have a test track to their own scale standards supplied by the Scale 7 Group.
